The Cut Out is a laid back and fun look into the lives of everyday Australians working in remote and rural areas in Australia - and everyone who has ever worked in a Woolshed knows a cut out needs four things: Good company, good stories, and of course some good music and a good drink always helps too, which is what this podcast is all about! Each episode begins with a feature on an Independent Australian Country, Folk or Acoustic artist, with a song played before every interview, and then James dives straight into a chat with the people who make the Australian Outback and Bush such an amazing place. So grab a beer and turn the wireless up, and join James for some laughs with his amazing guests!

Episode 5 - Tash Peterson (A.K.A ”Vgan Booty”): Animal Right‘s Activist.
Wednesday Sep 01, 2021
Wednesday Sep 01, 2021
This episode is a different one to all previous episodes as I had a somewhat controversial guest on the show. Tash Peterson (or Vgan Booty on Instagram) is a notorious animal rights activist with tens of thousands of followers online and a history of activism targeted at the agriculture industry. In no way do I endorse or agree with what she has to say, but as someone who has personally spoken against Veganism and been the target of abuse from Vegans online myself, rather then ignore this issue I thought why not tackle the issue head on and find out more about the other side of the issue?
Make of it what you will, but enjoy the conversation and remember to subscribe to miss any further episodes.

Most people have their fun in their 20's after school. For Deb, instead she raised kids on the family farm in the Mallee in Victoria and had her fun when she moved to the Northern Territory for work as a Nurse years later. Nursing in the Territory isn't like anywhere else either, and she has experienced things there most people would never dream of seeing or doing. Have a listen to some of her yarns here on Episode 4 of the Cut Out.
